I am a past commodore of the Ilfracombe yacht club and it was a great honour to present the trophies at this year’s Round Lundy Race.
The race has been going for 20 years now since its conception in 2005. This was the 19th time the race had been run (one was skipped during covid).
Organising and running the race takes an incredible amount of effort and time. So very well done to all the volunteers who make it happen every year.
It is a very popular sailing event in the Bristol Channel and skippers come back year after year giving the harbour a real lively feel.
