As a new mayor I believe it important to build strong relationships with the other mayors in North Devon. Many of whom are also new. So last night I went to Bideford to represent Ilfracombe at the ceremony to install Peter Lawrence as their new mayor. It was great to see the passing of office from the previous mayor to the new, along with all the associated memorabilia. Afterwards I was able to talk to Peter along with the mayors from South Molton, Great Torrington and Northam. We hope to get together soon to leverage ideas and work together. A great opportunity.
