On Bank Holiday Monday it was the turn of the Lee Spring Fair to not only welcome our Mayor but also our resplendent Ilfracombe Town Crier Mr Steve Saxton
Welcome to Lee Spring fair! This event has been happening for many years now and is always a popular one with both locals and visitors alike. The weather remained kind and everyone enjoyed themselves. I have been coming to Lee with my family for many years now (mainly along the cliff tops from Ilfracombe with all the most stunning views). It usually requires a medicinal pint or two at the Grampas, before making the return walk. Lee bay is a very special place indeed! I would like to point out that apart from being a great traditional fair, the proceeds taken all go to maintaining the Memorial Hall and the local Church. It was a fantastic way to enjoy the bank holiday Monday!
